Next Step Challenge 2017 Seminar II

JCI East Kowloon is hosting the second year of “Next Step Challenge” startup competition, which is supported by "Startup Business Centre", "Hong Kong Business Angel Network" and "Entrepreneur Times". The second seminar of Next Step Challenge will be held on May 4. The winners of this year will receive sponsored office space from the “Startup Business Centre” and funding support from the “Hong Kong Business Angel Network” to accelerate their startup.

The Hackathon

Hack Horizon is a unique TravelTech hackathon taking place at 30,000 ft. on a public flight from Hong Kong to London. CUHK Entrepreneur Day 2017

“CUHK Entrepreneur Day 2017” is a large-scale campus entrepreneurship event organized by The Chinese University of Hong Kong Alumni Torch Fund. This two-day event features an exhibition showcasing CUHK entrepreneurship projects, a series of talks by CUHK entrepreneurs and investors, an entrepreneurship café as well as a pitching competition. Serving as an interactive platform for CUHK entrepreneurs and investors to exchange ideas and also for the promotion of entrepreneurship, the event is free of charge and welcomes all CUHK members and the general public.

HKBU Entrepreneur Day

HKBU Entrepreneur Day is organized by Knowledge Transfer Office and co-organized by HKTDC. It aims at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among campus. The event features the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva 2017 Awards Presentation of which HKBU had won nine top awards including two Gold Medals with Distinction, two Gold Medals, three Special Awards, and two Grand Prizes. It also features Knowledge Transfer (KT) Awards 2017 Presentation Ceremony which aims at recognizing outstanding research and knowledge transfer project in HKBU. HKBU Entrepreneurs’ Sharing where awardees of International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva and HKBU KT Awards will be invited to share their start-up stories with students and public during HKBU Entrepreneur Day.

StartHub 3.0 Pitching Competition

STARTHUB 3.0 Pitching Competition is one of the largest entrepreneurial competitions in Hong Kong. It has successfully held two sessions to attract over 100 startup projects and investment institutions in Hong Kong and China. The competition will be supported by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Hong Kong Science Park. The Angels Investment Foundation will allocate HK$ 20 million to the top ten investment value projects.

#CoCoonPitch event enables entrepreneurs to present their products or services to a variety of audiences and seek potential investors, co-founders, team members, customers, corporate partners or publicity.
