International Start-Up Week (ISUW) takes place during the month of Entrepreneur Day (E-Day), brings together a series of start-up and entrepreneurship related activities organised by NGOs, youth associations, universities, co-working spaces and relevant government organisations including a wide variety of conferences, exhibitions, seminars and workshops. Get prepared for start-up and come join these rewarding events!


CUHK Entrepreneur Day 2016

“CUHK Entrepreneur Day 2016” is a large-scale campus entrepreneurship event organized by The Chinese University of Hong Kong Alumni Torch Fund. This two-day event features an exhibition showcasing CU entrepreneurship projects of diversified variety (such as science and technology, social enterprises and arts), a series of talks by CU entrepreneurs and on-site consultation.  Serving as a platform for CU entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and also for the promotion of entrepreneurship, the event is free of charge and welcomes all CU members and the general public.

Next Step Challenge 2016 Grand Final cum Award Presentation

Next Step Challenge 2016 – The business startup competition aim to identify the potential early stage start up in Hong Kong and encourage the entrepreneurship spirit and culture for the youth of Hong Kong. The competition was kicked off by the press conference in January along with a series of seminars by the successful start-up founders and angel investors to share their insights and provide the tips to succeed.

Shaping Your Path for Entrepreneurship - Cyberport Start-up Forum

HKTDC Entrepreneur Day

The HKTDC Entrepreneur Day is an annual “Start-up Fiesta” in HK where new start-ups can find out entrepreneurial opportunities and supporting services and connect with potential investors and partners. Running into the 8th edition, highlights will be on the “Start-up Runway”, celebrity talks, pitching sessions, and “Fund & Mentor” which aims at facilitating start-ups to meet with potential investors and partners.  Admission is free.

CoCoon Pitch Finals Spring 2016

CoCoonPitch event enables entrepreneurs to present their products or services to a variety of audiences and seek potential investors, co-founders, team members, customers, corporate partners or publicity.

CoCoon has organised 34 pitch nights and 150+ pitch teams participated and our members have received a total funding of HKD190M.

CoCoonPitch Night was featured on Forbes and TVB Money Magazine.

Dragon Apprentice 2016

The Dragon Apprentice, as a main campaign of the year organized by JCI Dragon, aims to provide youth with a platform of life planning, so as to enhance their understanding of the commercial society and inspire them positively.

HKBU Entrepreneur Day

HKBU Entrepreneur Day is the first time to be launched in HKBU campus organized by Knowledge Transfer Office. It aims at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among campus. This half day event features the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva 2016 Awards Presentation of which HKBU got the best result ever with the Grand Prix International Invention Award, 3 gold medals and 2 Special Mention Medals; it also features Knowledge Transfers (KT) Award 2016 Presentation Ceremony which aims at recognizing outstanding research and knowledge transfer project in HKBU; and HKBU Entrepreneurs Sharing where HKBU alumni will be invited to share their start-up stories with students and public.

SME Seminar: "Entrepreneurship Opportunity in the Mainland"

Despite the economic downturn in the Mainland, many SMEs are still interested in starting and developing businesses in the Mainland because of its huge market potential. However, the lack of understanding and knowledge of the Mainland’s business environment often stop these attempts. This seminar will invite guests who have experience of starting and operating business in the Mainland to share their stories. The seminar will also introduce the simplified application procedure of the Enterprise Support Programme under the “Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales”.
